The Barrens Travel Soccer Club board members is announcing some very exciting news that will be impacting our organization. For the past several months, board members from Barrens Travel Soccer and Barrens Rec Soccer have been exploring the possibility of a merger. We have carefully and thoughtfully weighed the pros and cons of merging and have agreed that a partnership of our two clubs would greatly benefit everyone involved. Listed below are the expected positive outcomes as a result this collaboration:

 

-Aligning under a single mission statement allows us to offer a cohesive soccer vision and philosophy for the South Eastern community.

 

-Adopting a club wide player development model ensures all youth players have the opportunity to grow and develop their skills to the highest level.

 

-Increasing the number of competitive age groups & teams and player development opportunities.

 

-Enhancing the overall quality of our programs by utilizing additional resources on and off the field.

 

We are excited to move forward in this collaboration with our players and community. We are confident this will bring Barrens Travel Soccer Club & Barrens Soccer Club to the forefront of player development and experience, for the full range of players, from recreation level through travel. We will be hosting a community meeting later in March to provide additional information and answer your questions. Stay tuned for the date of the meeting and next steps.
